2011-2012

Fabrication tasks filled my first year while I learned my way around a lathe and vertical mill. During the first year, my primary activity was to prepare the team for its first ever overseas competition at Formula Student Germany. The car was a completely new, two-piece carbon monocoque chassis that introduced me to the world of composites. In between arranging logistics for competition in Germany, I helped build a set of control arms and contributed to many other small vehicle construction tasks.

Team Manager

2012-2013

After Formula Student Germany, the team made the decision to take the car to FSAE Michigan and Formula Student North in Ontario Canada. The car underwent some evolutionary changes in the wheel and tire, While spending most of my time working on sponsorship activities and managing the team, I started to get into some design activities. Assisting in the design of the single-lug hub system was a highlight. Additionally spent time working on some fuel tank modifications.

Year 3
Team Captain

2013-2014

2013 was the most challenging year with an entirely new car in the works. Managing team logistics and sponsorship activities prevailed. On top of a clean sheet redesign of the chassis, one of the other biggest changes was changing the team organization to support an aerodynamics sub-team. Representing the team at university functions was also a frequent activity.
